Al Nazaha Association Participates in The Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption
Al Nazaha Association was invited by The UAE State Audit Institution to participate in “The Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption“ which was hosted by the State Audit Institution in Abu Dhabi between 16th to 20th of December.
Al Nazaha Association represented by Mrs. Naeima Almenhali, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the association, and Mr. Ali Al Nahdi, Vice Chairman of the Board, briefed the conference’s attendees on the Association and it’s role, and continued to present the importance of Integrity and Anti-corruption measures in the corporate domains.
“The Conference of the States Parties (COSP) is the main policy-making body of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. It supports States parties and signatories in their implementation of the Convention, and gives policy guidance to UNODC to develop and implement anti-corruption activities.
The Conference was established, as per article 63 of the Convention:
• To improve the capacity of States to implement the Convention;
• To enhance cooperation among States in achieving the objectives of the Convention; and
• To promote and review the implementation of the Convention.
The Conference meets every two years and adopts resolutions and decisions in furtherance of its mandate.”
